The Art of Alchemy & Transformation

The Art of Alchemy & Transformation

Lessons in transformation from the human archetype of transformation itself...

1 - Awareness

Without awareness of our own patterns and the living systems within and around us, the unconscious takes over and we relinquish our power to compulsions, fears, pasts, and conditioning.

2 - Depth / Will

You can’t change the fruit without going to the root. It’s only from the deep self beyond all the shadows that you’ll find your source of unbreakable will, not from the ego at the surface.

3 - Acceptance

You have to accept something before you can change it. You have to hold it, be with it in presence, then you can mold and change it.

Acceptance is the present moment.

The archetype of transformation is a fixed quality.

4 - Compassion

To transform or transmute, you need self-worth and self-compassion, or you’ll get stuck in cycles of your own suffering or trying to endlessly ‘fix.’ Compassion is love in action and it’s the ultimate virtue of transformation - this is how you sit with the pain of what needs to be alchemized.

5 - Holding the Paradox

Scorpio’s polarity is Taurus, the zodiac of inwards/yin love. Without holding that opposing energy of self-compassion, the scorpion cannot transform into the phoenix, but instead self destructs, buried with such an intense desire of everything that is wrong and must change.

Metamorphosis needs both love and will, both the stillness of self-acceptance & compassion (Taurus) and the restless, willful desire of deep transformation (Scorpio).

It’s the paradox that always holds the wisdom.

Transformation = Love + Will

Here's to eternal self-transformation, as infinity intended.
